Persona

Name - Tamia Pham
Age - 26 years
Profession - Works at a start-up in San Francisco
Tamia Pham is very picky about her food. She likes to bookmark her favorite restaurants. For her, liking a restaurant does not necessarily mean she likes everything on the menu. She might just like a couple things in a restaurant. When she is craving a specific dish she wants to be able to check reviews and ratings of that specific dish and not have to go into individual restaurant page and hunt for it.

Usage scenario

User will open the app and click on the search button. He/she will see the results based on the screen in split view - restaurant location map with the pins on top half and the list of restaurants on the bottom half. The interface will allow fullscreen view of the map and the list. The user will be able to toggle between both the views. The search results in the list view will show restaurant details (hours, number of reviews, etc.), average rating and price of the item. User can click on any of the restaurant and read the customers reviews.

Competitive analysis

Overall general observations - Reviews are not specific to a particular menu item on any of the apps. On search result screen one can see either list view or map view.

Yelp - Bland. No imagery, basic list view

Eat24 - Random suggestions, big, poor quality images, more scrolling, less relevant information, inefficient use of space

Uber Eats - Nice images, less information, two way scroll is confusing

DoorDash - All relevant information but not very pleasing U

PrimeNow - same a Eat24

General Feedback from

  • USER 1: Distracting graphics – good text.
  • USER 2: A bit too heavy on military images.
  • USER 3: The value for money might have to be addressed on the website as this eld is populatedby big consultancy brands.
  • USER 4: On a high level I have a general sense for what the business does, although I don't have clarity on where I could deploy the services and which aspect of the business could be net the most from partnering with Center of Gravity. Some examples/case studies could be helpful here. Communication seems to be more of a catch-all. It doesn't t the rest of the ow.Are you a consulting rm or a motivational speaker?
  • USER 5: Business appears to be consultations pertaining to military-related strategy, analysisand overall mission-directive (such as identifying the appropriate message for the type ofbrand/business)More things looked clickable than there actually are.
  • USER 6: Over all – lacks color coordination
  • 4 different users said - Too much text
